I think besides the "red rings" and red wheels, I struggle to see how it was perceived as virtually the same car lol. I don't see how necessarily too much of a bad thing either.
By the way thanks the compliments earlier in the thread guys, I appreciate it as always.

Way to throw a fit I suppose, 714. Earlier you went on about no feedback, I gave it, and you ranted about it. When you have a human being scoring, judging, etc, opinions will be formed. Opinions will differ. But alright, cool. From here I'll make the 6 first on my list each week. I won't give feedback until you can learn to take it with a bit of salt, whether you agree with/like it or not. It's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. The fact of the matter is, should my opinion change, the scores can't now. I can understand the things you are pointing out to me, but I can't understand how you expect to make your scores go up if you throw a fit over he little feedback you do get.

Got slammed at work tonight, only got a few typed out. Apologize for being brief. I will finish the rest of the field though.
714- Fantastic brush work once again, that is a beautiful piece of work. I really like the ghost graphics along the side and think they add a neat element to your overall work. The Budweiser on the quarter panel is too small or too far forward in my opinion, there is a small gap(mostly on the passenger side) between the seal and the text that just sticks out to me. Other than that great work, I think a win is around the corner for you, if not multiple.
Andrew- I have rage quit camo so. many. times. So I give you bonus points for keeping with it, it is looking better each time. This car is probably the best sponsor placement ive seen from you all season so good job on that. Keep crackin on that camo and Id also like to see you make a bold brush, maybe a duck call? I wont touch on the in-game text, you’ve already been advised.
AZSpud – I reaaaallly like you concept. I love it when local and track specific elements are integrated into a scheme. Unfortunately your most featured designs are in-game text. Again, I wont beat that dead horse more than it has been. The color palette seemed off to me. I know the blue was for the sponsor, but it didn’t fit into the Red Sox/Baseball motif. I applaud you for taking a risk, keep up the good work.
Demonte- Please go back to doing replicas. Lol, I kid, Im glad to see you transition nicely into the PBC. The only real complaint I have is the neon green trim on top of your white number is difficult to see. Id also complain that your rookie stripes are missing, but at this point I don’t think you need them.
JHartwig – I feel goofy giving you feedback seeing how you’ve won 3/5 of the season. I like you color choices, they set yours apart from the crowd. At first glance the bowling ball on the hood looks like a globe. I like the scorecard but I think its wedged in on the C Post, it might fit it better elsewhere. It is a unique feature though that draws positive attention.

Not a fit and you shouldn't just put me first. I took feedback from two others positively earlier in the thread. You are new to this so I am trying to make sure you understand how to score properly because of the reasons you gave personal opinion seemed like it was playing a larger factor in your scores.

Thanks, in hide sight I should have made the back logo smaller so the script brush went down the entire 1/4 panel and I do seem to rush things when it comes to placing brushes on the passenger side that I can not mirror.

I appreciate your feedback a ton nightowl. The in-game text just goes down to keeping to that baseball number looking font. As for the blue, I don't quite know how you're saying that it doesn't fit the Red Sox...

Guys I'll start off by saying thanks for the feedback, and sorry I'm late posting. I really need a break from work. Lol. Anyway, here is my feedback, hope it helps! 00 - Dunkin donuts = sweet ride! Lol had to. This scheme is a little busy but I think it could work with a little extra detail. Shadows and highlights of the sprinkles would give it the depth to actually camouflage the IN YOUR FACE factor. Great idea for this sponsor though. 6 - let me start by saying what a brush!! It's very detailed. The hood is very impressive, and I also like the ghost bud on the side panel. There is some issues with the font logo though. I know how long you've been doing this and to see the bud brush like this is disheartening. I know you can clean it up it doesn't need much, just a tweak here and there. 25 - the camo works great on this scheme. I also think it's a little too much. Maybe more of a base scheme and a little less camo would work to your favor. Consistency in number shape and thickness is also something to keep an eye on. 9 - I like the tribute, but I wish you would've kept your number the same. I learned a while back, your number defines you. It also hurt that this is in game font and not custom. Other than these two things it's a really good step for you in your first season. 80 - pitch black might be my new favorite drink because of this scheme. I'm really liking the color variation of this one. The brushes are dead on, as to be expected from you take it to the next level though, make the product and put it on the car. Whether it's a can or bottle or box it would boost your score to have the extra detail. 10 - another phenomenal entry... The bowling lanes on the top are cool but they don't top the pins on the side. Slick brushes and cool colors on this car. Jam up job!! The one issue was the vivid logo on the hood, it's good, but i think you may have entered like this just so you could make it better for the chase. If that's the case, durn you! Lol 34 - I wanna eat your hood! that thing looks awesome! You've been creating some amazing schemes that would easily be run in real life. Kudos. There is one issue for me, the stripe down the side. It reminds me too much of your coke car. It would've made more sense for it to be milk splatter/splashes instead of the stripe. 15 - I like this car a lot, especially when was run earlier this season. But the newness has worn off. You're an amazing painter. I know time constraints probably got you, but I'm looking forward to something new from you. 17 - this base scheme is really cool! I love the fading and the sharp angles of it. However, you're other entry for post it was far better imo. I like seeing new things from you. A lot of you're stuff gives me inspiration for mine. I wish there was more to this sponsor though, just too easy for you. 97 - this scheme... How many times have you run this? 2/3? Maybe? I feel like I'm scoring the same scheme every week. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you at least entered a scheme. I'm just ready to see something new. 1 - this scheme had tons of potential. It could've ended up being better than mine I ran at Bristol. With that being said, I feel like it was a little rushed. The wood grain didn't match in places and the "foam" needed a lot of work. This was a great idea and your number always looks great. Try to go all out with this scheme because it could be an overall winner. 5 - imo, this is the best base you've done! It fits the sponsor well and looks really good. I just wish there were more to this car. Just kinda bland to me. Add some shading and/or highlights to the base, or make an awesome brush to fit the sponsor. You're definitely improving.

We argue here more than NASCAR, we might get a growing fan base if we advertise this! 00--Dang fine scheme. The chocolate splash at the front was very creative and original, but I kinda wish it flowed down the side, like Kyle Busch's 2012 car did. Maybe a doughnut or a coffee cup on the side would have boosted the score, and that's what I'd do. Maybe a coffee cup to offset the doughnut chocolate splash on the front. Otherwise solid scheme. 6-You just ain't ever gonna win a race, aren't ya? If you combined your first Budweiser scheme with this one, I think it'd fare much better with everyone. A few more colour blends, something I'm figuring out, and more whites and golds like the first scheme would be perfect eye candy. 25-We all got to help you with number placement. It's great you're using a custom number, but it looks lost. It's a bright pink jumpsuit in the middle of the woods. So first, I think you know how to skew decals. Do an extensive work of that with old text numbers, general text, anything just so you familiarize yourself with it. What I do on my schemes is I skew it whatever direction I have the number flowing to (this year, it's forward), then skew it up to match up with the bottom of the fender on the side it is on. It's hard to explain, but just fixing that number skew would help A LOT. Your number I can see being skewed back and down to be parallel to the indent of the Chevy SS. Also, maybe making the number orange instead of red would really help as well. Overall, your scheme actually is kinda good. The side Duck Commander leaves me wanting a duck or something other than "Duck Commander." Maybe like a duck caller or a duck or whatever they're selling, something to identify other than generic, lower case text saying "Duck Commander" would help. Side is a little busy with the sharp color contrasts of the camo and whatnot, but you've made progress. 9-I love this text. I loved the number more than the number you use (no offense. just taste idk). Just the scheme was so simple and filled with text. But I agree with Thermite, adding Ted Williams' signature would have increased this scheme's value a lot. It's honestly something very do-able. A little detail like this would have made it much cooler and would have scored better. Adding the pinstripe to the hood would have also been a good idea, instead of having it be blue without a reason as to why the roof, decklid and sides are pinstriped. And, I guess NESN is the sponsor? If I owned NESN I'd be upset my logo wasn't on the car a little more (barely on hood, small mention on the side.) Plus, random question but why the tribute? A simple Red Sox/NESN scheme would have done fine imo. 80-Similar to last week's scheme, but that's irrelevant. I saw Pitch Black II and was like wait, there's no black on it. The dark purple could have been black, or more black could have been added (substitute the green for black maybe?). Pretty creative to use the Mountain Dew logo colors into the scheme. The greens kinda overshadow the backdrop which I feel is what prioritizes Pitch Black. Good car nevertheless 10-Can you just do my cars for the rest of the year? Just cover the 0 and do that? No? Fine. The yellow looked odd though, could you explain the choice of yellow? Teal and Yellow isn't exactly color combination of the year, but I guess you found a way to make it look good. 34-Only thing I can think of is the black outlines on the design, but otherwise this is just another great scheme. Maybe add more milk? Like 1% or 2% more milk to your scheme? (seriously, more milk on this scheme could look good, maybe not.) 28-Seriously your best rendition of this color scheme yet. I feel like this is the go-to scheme colors for you, isn't it? White inversion would be cool, and using the Haas sponsorship or maybe Cheez-It would be cool. Yet again, I did ask for you to run Sheetz anyway...so oops my bad. 15-I want to like this scheme more than I do. Maybe invert all the colors? Like a black base, red where it's black and white where it's red? And, maybe make that tire mark like "racing stripes" instead of just one line. Would make it a nice touch. Otherwise I don't know what else to do and why it actually ranked worst than my scheme...is this a PBC first?! 17-My favorite scheme you've made. It's just as good as the Turtle Wax one, only this one's problem is that everyone finds Post-it easy. But daaang it matches the sponsor and looks sooo good. 97-I can tell you rushed and put your number on the tribute scheme. Honestly, it's just way too simple. There's many things, like how small the 97 actually is, how small the sponsor decals are, etc. It looks so...empty. Make the Gulf bigger, add an oil bottle (if they make Oil, I've only seen Gulf as low-quality gas stations) and make the scheme a little more busier with design and flair. 1-disappointing, gatoradefan makes you look like its your first day ever. 0/10. 5-You're back! But uhhh what's the sponsor? Cesena? DHL? I thought Iracing.com when I saw this scheme, and it'd fit it for sure. Add a few more sharp shapes to the design, and we could be cooking here with a good design. And clarify what the sponsor is. Now, time to reply to feedback! If you're refering to my Stainless Steel texture, not really. I attempted to do that, but did not. I actually used splatters, looked at Gatoradefan's car, and actual cans, and stretched and varied the colors for it. I actually am proud of that wood grain so glad you noticed! And yeah I knew the splash wasn't gonna end up well, I worked on it but ran out of time. But thank you for the positive words! Funny story, I looked at his car as "ok, what am I gonna do that he DIDN'T do, and what did I like?" I liked the roof being wood grained, and the sides. Other than that, I went my own direction on it. I knew people would say I copied/tried to replicate that...well he's my teammate and generally teammates that share sponsors often have similar schemes. But thank you! You definitely know what's a winning car as of late! I'm glad someone saw that I at least tried to make it different and similar all at once! Not against anyone that didn't, just my goal was a winner that took gatoradefan's best features and made it better. Hard to do such when his car was good...but thank you for noticing! Ahhhhh, the man himself. I have a hard time thinking that, as your car was my inspiration. And yeah that foam, with more time devoted to it, will be awesome. Once some time clears up, I think I can go out on it. And thank you for the wisdom teammate.

714, I see we have a pretty big spread between me and you on Kane's scoring. I'll further explain why I have him 6th if you explain why you have him 1st. Nothing against my teammate but I'm surprised you have him that high. Just want to discuss.

Thanks so much for the great feedback guys! Not only on the forums, but also on the Facebook page.
Two things I wanted to reply to...
Dinger, The yellow on my car isn't supposed to be just yellow. I'm not sure if you didn't get a good look at my car, or if you're just not familiar with bowling. But the hood, roof and deck lid of the car are suppose to resemble a bowling lane. It had the dots and arrows that bowling lanes have, and it's individual wood boards that make up the lane itself, and it's kind of tough to see, but there are even some knots and wood grain effects in there if you look hard enough.
And to reply to your reply about my initial feedback for you... I totally get that you looked at Gatorade's car, and took away good things, and tried to make it better! And in a way, you did make his car better. If his original car would have looked like this, it would have been a race winner. The detail in his wood grain, and the barrel rings and all that is much better than your car. It has much more detail and complexity to it. Sorry to be harsh, but it's true. And on the note of it being similar because teammates share sponsors, I totally agree, in Nascar teammates run cars that are similar to one another. But when it comes to a painting competition and originality plays a part in the scoring, being really similar to a teammate probably isn't the best strategy. I'm not trying to be a real downer, but the cars were just too similar, and by the rest of the feedback, most of the other guys thought so as well. One really positive note: Your number is by far one of my MOST favorite I've ever seen made on these games! I've always meant to tell you that, so Big props for that!
And one last detail to note. Both Thermite and Gatorade mentioned that I could have done a better more realistic job on my Vivid bowling ball, and its totally true. I made that brush last minute because I felt a bowling "ball" company needed a ball on the car, and I knew it wasn't perfect, and I almost scratched the idea, but I will make it better for the Chase, I just simply had to go with what I had with the time crunch!
Thanks again for all the great and constructive feedback! Looking forward to hopefully seeing even more people jump in on the feedback!

714, I see we have a pretty big spread between me and you on Kane's scoring. I'll further explain why I have him 6th if you explain why you have him 1st. Nothing against my teammate but I'm surprised you have him that high. Just want to discuss. Alright so why I had the 34 1st... To explain why I kinda need to compare it to the 10 and 17 Solid sponsor brushes. Logos, The Oreo vs. Storm vs. Post it. Due to the style of the Oreo logo on a curve and with the gradients I thought it was slightly more difficult than the storm text. Post it is relatively simple text even with the s. I would say 4.5 for the 34, 4.25 for the 10, 4.0 for the 17 Additional sponsor pieces. The cookie it self has good detail with out being overly done. The post it logo is more or less just some squares (i know there is more to it than that but side by side with the cookie...) I like to bowling ball and pins and it was a tie for me. I just factored in more time invested in the cookie than one bowling pin, but there was more in the bowling ball than the milk splash. 4.75 for the 34, 4.75 for the 10, 4.0 for the 17 Base Scheme The one category I had the 10 and 17 ahead on. I felt the 17 had the best of the three. The 34 was simple but it was executed nicely and fit the theme of the sponsor. 5.0 for the 17, 4.50 for the 10 and 4.25 for the 34 Overall Appearance All three are great and might be even closer than the other categories. 34 10 17 4.50 4.25 4.0 4.75 4.75 4.0 4.25 4.50 5.0 5.00 5.00 5.0 18.50 18.50 18.00 So I had a tie between the 34 and 10 tied with the 17 a close third. personally I like the 34 just a bit more

"6- I scored your car relatively low because of one main thing... it looks a ton like your Charlotte car. I like to see painters trying new and unfamiliar styles, and well, this is a ton like your Bud Light car. You're a great painter, don't get me wrong. Don't get discouraged by it." - What I said on your car, 714. Including my personal taste in cars.
In your last post, 714, you said you "just liked the #34 more" than the 17 and 10. Let's look back to your rebuttal to my feedback on your #6.
"But I get it, you are not the first to mention my base schemes with curved designs, even if they are not your personal preference that is not what you should be scoring."
Right... so... with human judges, personally, I feel there's no issue with factoring in personal taste. But if you're going to get on me about it, don't do it yourself.
If I were you, what I would do is this: Make a scoring rubric. This time around, you seem picky about how atleast I score. If you really want us to score your way, make a rubric. Make a template that we fill out rather than a simple list and feedback in the thread.
And my final thought on your car, 714, are this: The Budweiser text, like Kane's Oreo, is awesome. There's one problem spot that I see in it, but I'd never be able to get it that good myself. Your base, however, looks like your Charlotte car. Based off of that, it just didn't speak Budweiser, but rather spoke "Race #4".
That is all. I'm looking forward to seeing what my competitors have to say about my Watkins Glen entry.

Thanks 714! Here's my explanation...
Ok, as you know I had him 6th. For my placement, we'll compare him to nightowl, who I tied him with.
Sponsors and other decals: That Oreo logo is pretty difficult because it's at a weird angle. I was actually a little disappointed with the Oreo cookie. I thought he could have pushed the photo-realism a little more. But as you said, I guess it works because it has everything it needs. He also has Coca-Cola and some other difficult logos on the car. 4/5. Nightowl's DD logo, as Hartwig said, is pretty inconsistent, and his other logos aren't as difficult as Kane's. However, I think his "Full Circle Runs on DD" was a nice touch. 3/5.
Base: I know you liked the milk splash on Kane's, but that was the weakest part of the car in my opinion. I'm not certain on this, but it looks like he just used sprays and splats, which lowers the quality. But even if he didn't, it's pretty far from the splash on Oreo's packaging, which is what I'd expect to make the sponsor happy. There's also that white swoop along the car with the black outline, which for me hurts the flow of the car rather than enhances it, since it competes with the gradient. I think it would have been a more professional looking scheme if he just left the gradient and splash. 2.5/5. Nightowl, while his scheme isn't the most clean, at least pushed to do something different. The colors really scream DD and the donut splash was pretty creative. 3.5/5.
Originality: Not really going to say much for this one. As I said, nightowl pushed to do something different, and Kane's entry was a little below what I'd expect from an Oreo car. Nothing really "wow-ed" me. 3/5 Kane, 4/5 nightowl.
Overall: Kane takes this by a little bit because his experience still shows even though the car isn't his best. Nightowl's entry is very good but is barely lacking those essential details to put it at the top. The whole scoring between these two was a real balance. Some strong points and weak points for each. But in the end, it came to a tie. 4/5 for Kane, 3/5 for nightowl in overall appearance, with the final total being 13.5 Kane, 13.5 nightowl.

I can understand all of those points.
Funny how we differ on the cookie. A photo realistic cookie would have really put him over the top and might have made it a race winner. I just feel that going photo realistic is a double edge sword. You pull it off you are a hero, you fail and you look like a moron. Going with a more cartoonist brush is playing it safe but with the field it was the way to go. When looking at the cookie you really have to look at it to make out the shapes used, when you look at the 00 it is easy to tell how it is made.
I agree that the milk splash is the weakest part of the car. A drop shadow decal even if it was a little darker in cream would have added depth. (kinda like i did for my BL car) I still think with how he used them it was a better overall appearance than on the 00.
How you feel about the milk splash, i feel about the coffee splash on the 00. All that coffee effect is, are teardrops outlined in black, even the white highlight is the same tear drop. I think if he had used some other decals circles, bean shapes etc that could of helped it look more complete. I wish I could find pics of my yoohoo car from ntg'11 to show what im talking about. I did like the use of color on the 00 more of that and less coffee could have had a better presence.
Great car by Nightowl, Kane can do more but what he entered was solid. The top 8 was really really close on my scorecard.
I did have the 00 lower on my scorecard mostly because of sponsors. The 1, 15, 28, and 80 all had either cleaner or more difficult logos to make.
