At this time, all that is being released by azspud00 is that 2016 plans are shaping up. azspud00 is in close talks with a new team, but has said that "Nothing is final until the fat lady sings." Didn't you literally just start a team this year for the sole purpose of next year? Or was it for some other reason I forget now?

I did. A couple weeks before the Glen. Next thing I know, a couple weeks AFTER the Glen, my teammate is basically bailing on me. It's honestly very aggravating, but the fact that I now have new opportunities ahead of me means it may have been for the better.

Vader0309 Discusses departure from Blue Shift Racing: Q: With the personal service contract with Chevrolet, it is official that you will no longer be a part of Blue Shift Racing. What led to that decision? Vader0309: First I want to thank 714 for giving me the chance back in the Inside Line era. We had a great partnership with, and I am proud to have been a part of BSR. The decision to sign with Chevrolet was a personal decision, and because of that, if I continue to paint it will be a part of the bow tie brigade. Q: If you are unsure whether you are going to continue your career, why announce a change? Vader0309: It was important to me to get that announcement out of the way. Part of that is out of respect for the BSR guys. I have been with them longer than anyone else, and to leave them hanging would be unfair.

714 and Energy are still on the look out to fill the last two spots at blue/red shift racing for next year.
We have been approached by a few painters and have reached out to a few. As of now nothing has really panned out. After Vader's release 714 approached two painters in hopes of filling the vacant spot.
We are still hoping to find a painter we can help a painter make a run at the Fastenal champuonship

Sounds like things are starting to heat up as far as silly season goes. WCR is no exception. The team has reached out to a couple painters with the hopes of having a strong team for next season. One of those may even run a race this season to see what it's like. Thermite stated, "Silly season is living up to its name. I was approached by one painter, I asked another painter if he wanted to make his PBC debut, and I reached out to another painter who was already approached by another team but hasn't made a decision yet, so it's starting to get crazy. I'm confident that things will work out in one way or another and that WCR will once again be a team to beat in both the Menards Series and Fastenal Series." Expect more details as things become more clear.

WCR Signs Painter. Windy City Racing is happy to announce that not azspud00 will be joining the team's Fastenal Series affiliation for the 2016 season! Thermite stated in a press conference, "I'm excited we were able to get azspud over to WCR. He keeps getting better and better and was probably one of the top prospects heading into this next season. I know I'm not the only one that was negotiating with him. In the end, I lured him in with cookies and a promise that he would not have to become a Cubs fan." Other details will be announced as soon as they are ready to be released. This will be the painter's second season in the PBC Cup Series.

Dingerfan to switch to Chevrolet in the Fastenal Series - After the end of Dingerfan's 2015 season due to a closure of shop, he will enter the last race at Homstead Miami in a test for the 2016 season. The manufacture? Chevrolet. "My time with Ford was great, but obviously the results were not what I was expecting or what I wanted. It's time for a change." No word on the number for next year.

FULL CIRCLE GOES BLUE OVAL FOR 2016
CHARLOTTE N.C. - Full Circle Racing (FCR) held a press conference early Monday morning to shine a bit of light on the teams 2016 plans. The two-car tangent of owner/driver Nightowl and driver Leadfoot will return to PBC action for 2016 piloting brand new Ford Fusions. "It will be a big change, but all for the better" stated Nightowl "PBC is all about evolving and I believe Ford gives us the best opportunity to consistently win races". Nightowl, The current Exide Series points leader stated that the team will begin working with Ford after the conclusion of the 2015 season. "Were not going to lose sight of where we are at, The 2015 Exide Series Championship is still priority one. We will finish our contractual obligations to the current manufacture which includes the PBC All-Star race." When asked about other changes for the upcoming season Nightowl stated nothing other has been finalized. "What is for sure is that I will be in the familiar #00 and Leadfoot will return in the yet to be numbered second car. Were in talks with a lot of great sponsors right now and hope to get that finalized asap." Nightowl currently leads the Exide Series points following his win at Kansas, the first of the year for both team and driver.

So now that the season is almost over, who is looking forward to next year?
With the active painters at less than ten now. Should we think of a more simplified outline instead of the one that was posted mid season?
I think going back to the original three race plus a final round with going one month on then one month off might work out better.
Making three schemes in eight weeks and being able to skip rounds might help some painters that are burned out...
It would also let us pick new sponsors more often if we wanted.
Thoughts???

Personally I prefer the outline for the Menards/Fastenal series or this years setup with a staggered schedule featuring either stand-alone races, combination events or a bit of both. I believe the staggered that was initially laid out also only required 3 schemes in 8 weeks, if not less. I would make the schedule heavier early and midseason before the year-end burnout starts setting in. Maybe even make the chase 4 races so that one less brand new scheme is needed towards the end of the year. Sponsor timelines can be changed to whatever people think is fair.
There are 12 painters listed for next year per this thread, with a few regulars still TBA.
With that said, that's just my personal preference, I have no objection to what 714 mentioned above. I'll be here regardless of the format.

as a painter I like the multiple series idea, and i was really liking the chance to have a somewhat replica series and challenge series in the mix.
BUT there is one HUGE detail we are missing that will boost interest... When will NASCAR '16 come out???
I was thinking we could do little seasons until the new game comes out then do the format that was posted with Menards and Fastenal Series on the new game.
