If you have read the Welcome thread, you know that our PBCup series have not yet been officially named. Neither are any of our contingency designs set in stone.
This is your opportunity to design our series' logos! We will be having a competition, open until midnight EST on January 31st, where you can submit your designs and concepts to possibly be used the rest of the season (on both this site and all of the cars). Here's what we need:
Series 1 Name/Logo - Equivalent to the Sprint Cup Series, this series is for our top echelon of painters.
Series 2 Name/Logo - Equivalent to the Xfinity Series, this series is for our up-and-coming painters. It should be noted that this series may or may not come to fruition depending on how many competitors we have.
Pole Award Decal - This decal goes below the Series logo, and qualifies you for the bonus point for winning the Pole.
Official PBC Entry Logo - Placed on the A post, this decal signifies your car as an official entry.
In this picture, the Series Logo is A, the Pole Award is B, and the Entry logo is C.
You can design just one or all four of the logos we need. It's up to you.
You can enter by creating your design either in the paint booth or on a computer program like Paint.Net, and posting them here. After the deadline, I'll create a thread showing all of the entries organized by category. Voters will then message me with their favorite logos ranked 1st-last for each category. I'll then add up the averages to determine a winner. So, for example, someone's Series 1 decal may win, but another person's Pole Award decal may win.
Quality doesn't matter too much--no matter who wins, each competitor is responsible for recreating the decals in their own paint booth. So worry more about creating a fun, cool design. You can use sponsors in both the series logos, or simply call them something generic like "the Cup Series and the Junior Series." The only requirement is that the Pole Award decal has to be a rectangle (or else it won't fit). Aside from that, everything is up to you.
As always, if you have any questions and/or suggestions, feel free to reply!
