One can only hope it'll be better. I think the best bet would be to move to Next Gen, or "Current Gen" I guess, since it's been out for over a year.
Kinda screws me over, since I don't have any plans nor the need for a new console. Seems like every time I buy the latest one, they go and announce the next generation. Just how my luck is, I guess.

"DMi, Inc., has acquired certain NASCAR-related assets from Eutechnyx and partnered with NASCAR Team Properties to acquire certain exclusive licensing rights as part of a multi-year agreement. " First time I have seen it said that they only purchased "certain" related assets from ETX. Also "certain exclusive licensing rights" could be a good or bad thing. Nice to know they will be dedicated for a few years but at the same time not sure if having them be the only game in town is good. "DMi plans to expand the NASCAR game product offering for fans, and will publish annual title releases including on "next generation" consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One." Once again not sure what to think about this one. Hopefully we will not get a rushed product to make an annual release but it is nice to know it will be a next gen game. Then I laughed at the "Cautionary Statement Regarding Forward-Looking Statements" Which is almost if not longer than the press release. At least they have no issues hiding the fact it might not live up to the hype. |

I am right on who HC2 was. That is good to know. To me that is a positive. They are not going to continue to put money into a horrible game. They will want results.

Yea but at the same time it could be bad. Who knows what they are expecting. They might be looking at the money games like Forza make. When in reality NASCAR games are such a niche market. I hope they dont pull funding after the first year because its not what they expected. NASCAR games will be hurting in sales for a while after the ETX games. The fan base is just tainted with how bad those were.
It does seem promising that there might be more than just a yearly season based game made. The ETX mobile games were alright but I really like Nascar Rumble and Unleashed. Totally chessey I know but still fun when you need a break from the norm

From the letter, I saw NASCAR 2015 downloadable in the spring but it is not DMi games, and DMi games will put out a game in 2016 so they believe.

So I called it, 2015 is a rehash of '14 so they can focus on '16.
It is to bad that it is pretty much more DLC and ETX "fixes" on '14 and that it will not be for next gen (I was really hoping for a port to next gen consoles).
I wonder who gets the money for the digital downloads of '15. If its going to DMi I would buy it to support the future. If its going to ETX because they did the work I am good with '14 since I doubt anything would change with the paint booth and I don't think they will "fix" enough to warrant me spending any amount of time playing other game modes.
