We will be going back to our classic NTG'11 format for 2016. The season will be made up of multiple three races and a final round mini seasons. Results from each series will be added together to crown our overall champion at the end of the year.
MENARDS SERIES SCHEDULE:
Race 1 - Jan. 8th - Bristol Night
Race 2 - Jan. 15th - Martinsville
Race 3 - Jan. 22nd - Richmond Night
Final - Jan. 29th - Bristol Night
For races 1-3 you create original paint schemes. For the final round you renter your best from the season. You may make improvements on the car you repost for the final round but the scheme still must resemble the original.
SPONSORS
Primary: Each painter will pick one sponsor that will be unique to that painter, no other painter or team may use this sponsor to create paint schemes. This sponsor will be the sponsor you use to base your three schemes off of, so pick a sponsor that you can use more than once.
Secondary: Each painter can pick up to two sponsors that may be used to supplement paint schemes. They can be used any where on the car other than the primary sponsor on the hood. teammates may share secondary sponsors.
Team: Each team may selected up to six team sponsors. No more than four of these sponsors may be in game logos. Team sponsors may not be larger than 0.300 X 0.300 when placed on the car. It is strongly suggested for team uniformity that they are the same from car to car.
Goodyear Series Schedule:
Race 1 - TBA - TBA
Race 2 - TBA - TBA
Race 3 - TBA - TBA
Final - TBA - TBA
Each painter will pick a car# or driver, each round you pick any scheme for that car# or driver you wish.
You recreate the base scheme and primary sponsor but you must use your number and your other sponsors on the rest of the car.
Paint Booth Challenge Series (presented by Bass Pro Shops)- 3 races + Final Round
Themes for each challenge will be voted on before hand. You must use you PBC id (car number, team id, sponsors, etc.) While completing challenges.
GENERAL RULES
THREADS AND POSTING
Each race will be "hosted" at a specific track. Check the schedule to see which tracks coincide with each race. Pictures of entries must be taken at the track that the race is held at. Failure to do so might make your entry ineligible for scoring.
Each race will have its own thread that will open on a scheduled date and time. No posting is allowed until the set date and time. The only posts allowed in race threads are those of entries. All other posts must be made in the Media center thread.
The Media Center thread may be used as a chat style thread, as long as posts are on topic to the PBCup and follow the forum rules.
For the final round, entries must be a paint scheme that you have previously entered in any of the three regular season races. Changes may be made to the paint scheme in response to feedback received over the course of the season or updated brushes. Entries must still resemble the original. You are also asked to post one picture of when the paint scheme was originally posted, since improvements made will be a factor in scoring.
SCORING:
You must be entered in that particular race to submit a scorecard. Each race has a deadline for when scorecards are due. Each painter will receive a bonus score of "0" that will lower their average score to encourage submitting a scorecard.
Each car is to be scored based on the following...
Difficulty, Execution, Overall Appearance, Base Scheme, and Sponsor Brushes.
You should keep these categories in mind when scoring. For the "Finale" a sixth category "improvements" should be added into consideration.
You are to place each car in a finishing order from first to last.
IMPORTANT
The car numbers will appear on the scorecard in the order they were submitted, please leave the car#s in this order to aid in overall score keeping.
No more than two cars may tie for a position. Ties in final scoring will be broken down based on starting position.
EXAMPLE
CAR # 7 31 81 67 23
PLACE 2 2 1 3 4
Personal opinions should really only be used for breaking ties on your scorecard. Regardless of what you prefer it should not factor your scoring. You are scoring the paint scheme submitted and the finished product. What you would have liked to have seen, what the painter entered in a previous race etc. should not affect scoring.
POINTS:
1st=20 points, 2nd=18 points, 3rd=16 points, 4th=14 points, 5th=12 points, 6th=10, 7th=9, 8th=8 , 9th=7, 10th=6. From 11th on back will be worth 5 points regardless of position.
Points standings are based on the total number of points earned after each event up until the end of race three. After race three the points are reset for the final round.
Painters will be reset and placed one point apart from each other, with bonus points for poles and wins added.
Once the points are reset these new standing will be used for the final round.
After the final round the painter with the most points will be crowned champion.
TEAMS:
For the first mini season we will not be tracking team points. Therefore there will be no restriction on team size.
