I was very impressed with your entry, considering you had less than a week to make it and started totally from scratch. Just being a bit more adventurous with your base schemes and getting some more experience will help. Keep an eye on those around you in the standings; see what scores well and what doesn't. You can then pick up on certain trends and use it to your advantage.

i really think it is a good looking car. it's simple and i like simple schemes. the colors are cool and it would look really cool in real life. unfortunately it's hard to get a lot of points with simple schemes in a painting contest. you got an eye for the colors and what a car needs to look great so i'm sure we'll see some decent cars in the future. Thanks spudweiser! I'm gonna work on this scheme some more before using it, but I plan to still use it. In just a week there wasn't much time to go as far as I'd like to have gone into detail, but I like this because of the resemblence to the bag.

After 2 bridesmaid finishes, I'm starting to feel like Kevin Harvick Jr. haha!
I'll take some feedback on what you guys think could have pushed my car to the top of the standings!
I'll try and sit down later and give feedback to everyone else as well. Thanks

I'll take a third overall! Sweet! Ok I feel like I nailed the wood grain, but what did the rest of the car need? I hit painters block... But as jhartwig said, I'll get back on to critique y'all later. Thanks

Energy – I don’t really know what to tell the Snap-On series winner other than good job lol. If I have to find something to critique it would be your B post. Including the team crest I count 6? decals on the B post. They’re great brushes as is everything you turn out but 6, to me, seem shoehorned in there. Other than that, superb scheme.
AZSpud – Welcome to PBC! Always great to see new painters join and even better when they ask for feedback, shows a commitment to improvement. I think your scheme is a very good first entry. It wasn’t overdone, showcased your custom number and your sponsor brushes as well as great color selection. You also have good sponsor placement, but I would showcase your custom brushes over the in-game sponsors in the hi-vis spots (quarter panel, in front of rear wheels) and use the in-games in a smaller capacity. Off to a good start though man, clean up what you have already made and then build from there. Also, extra kudos on adding the little tabs for the windshield tear-offs, I don’t see too many people do that but I am definitely stealing those for the next race.
Andrew – You had me with the hood and roof, I love that stitching design and would like to have seen that expanded throughout the rest of the scheme. Try and shy away from the in-game text, that is PBC poison. If the in-game is similar to what you want, use it as a guide. Stamp the text in a custom brush, and then use it as a guide to build around it with the primitives, that helped me a lot with custom text. I like where youre headed though, youre improving each week.
I have to get back to work now but I will add the rest at a later time.

As promised, here is some feedback for y'all...
Nightowl- awesome job on this weeks car!! The overall idea u had for the car was awesome. It could've been more polished in areas. Such as the lightning and the number. The spark plug could've used a few more 3d effect layers also. But awesome scheme overall. I could definitely see a young hotshot driver in the seat of that car on Sundays.
Dinger- u can tell u were pressed for time on this scheme. Sheetz moto is "fresh food made to order", I would take something off their menu and make a brush for it. That would take your car to the next level. Also, maybe want to tone the green down a bit. Kinda looked like Christmas threw up a little bit. Lol
Kane-I really liked this car. It was a simple design with a ton of detail. One thing I noticed on the hood, u can tell the wood grain was mirrored, especially in the middle, it kind of fades away when it should probably be parallel. I'm so used to seeing amazing cars from u it kinda stuck out. But it was definitely cool!
Andrew-all I can say here is customize, customize, customize... If you use the decal that looks like the barcode. I'm sure you could make a denim effect for Levi's. But the customization is key for u. It WILL Boost your scores!!
Leadfoot-I liked the tribute, custom numbers take u a long way. Give it a shot I know u can do it I saw it from u last year. I really liked how the black portion of he car looked. It added depth, is like to see more of that in your schemes.
Energy-is there a logo you can't make?! The axe can was awesome, and I really liked the hood of this car. It reminded me of the matrix mixed with club lighting... Dead on point for axe. The only thing I can think of adding is "the axe effect" somewhere. Having their motto would be a nice touch.
Azspud- I find it amazing that you were able to get this done with as little time as u had to complete it. Especially the sponsor logos. Kudos. I'd like to see the base scheme explode next race but good first outing!
Jhartwig- the Doritos logo is amazing, the chips are perfect. I couldn't find much wrong with this car. You're always on top of your game. But same advice I had for energy "for the bold" being on your car will go above and beyond for sponsorship.

Here is my feedback for others...
Nightowl: Your car was nice, and really stood out with those bright colors. You got some great advise from others already, and I would just reiterate what they've already said. You had the idea of a great car, but you just needed to clean it up a bit. You've seen a lot of great spark plug pictures over the last few days, so work on yours some more. Add gradients to make it look more 3D, and a few other minor things here and there, and you're car could have been contending for a top 5.
Dinger: Again, everyone has pretty much nailed it with the feedback. I didn't care for the green at all. I looked at Sheetz website, being I've never seen a real store. They use the green as accent colors, and your car just simply had too much green! I thought your black decal that had the green trim was how all of the green on the car should have been, and the number, Green in my opinion was wrong color choice. As Gatorade said, it looked too much like Christmas.
Kane: Your car was good once again, but I just thought all of the design was a little overdone. I thought the wood design as you called it could have been more actual wood looking like Gatorade's car, and I didn't really care for the design on the white part of the car. Not sure if it was tiles, or what, but I just didn't think it worked. Other than that, your sponsor logos were great and the overall look of the car was nice.
Andrew: It's been said over and over and over....if you want your cars to score well in the PBC competition, you MUST HAVE custom logos and numbers! The stitching idea of the car was great, the stitches could have been a little smaller, but it was a nice touch. But once again, the use of in game text and numbers is always going to put you towards the bottom of the standings. You were also missing a sponsor on the deck lid, and you could put one behind the number on the roof as well if you wanted. Another thing I noticed, I would have either lowered or raised the design on the front part of the car, cuz the white outline was blended in with the Chevrolet SS logo.
Leadfoot: First off, I believe you could make all of your contig decals just a touch bigger and spread them out just a tiny bit more. And you already know, but a Custom number will increase your scores. I liked your idea of carbon fiber, but I think it could have been smaller, it looked too much like a checkered pattern, and not like true carbon fiber, if you would have made the pattern smaller, it would have given it more of the look you were going for I think. Also you need to work on placement and size of your secondary and team sponsors. And lastly, some other design in the front on the blue would have been a solid addition to your car. The carbon fiber in the back was a wow factor, but the front was missing that wow factor.
Energy: You won the race, what more do you need? The car was great.
AzSpud: I helped you out quite a bit already with this car, and being the time crunch you were under and it being your first car, I say you did about as good as you could have. Moving forward, get creative with base schemes. And as always, keep working on cleaning up your custom logos and add more detail.
Gatorade: I told you after race 1, that I was drooling with anticipation of seeing a full car with that amazing wood pattern after seeing it on the decklid of your race 1 car. And let me tell you, It didn't disappoint! The only place I was a little bummed out on the car was the foam, I thought there was just a little too much of it. It looked great, but just felt that it was a little too much. Would have loved to see something else go with it on the upper half of the car, but still, overall the car was excellent! The only other knit pick detail is on your A&W logo, your & logo is missing the little squiggly end to it. It still looked great, but that little detail can make a difference with such a high quality field of cars that we had.

Anyhow, I'll see what I can do with the sponsors. Thanks for the feedback. Slowly making progress!

I will be working on custom number, and possible custom text for next paint schemes later this week. About the decklid sponsor, I completely just forgot to put one of the sponsors I had on the decklid. For the front design, I was trying to get the Chevrolet SS logo to show completely, not to ruin the overall design of the front design, I could've just raised it with the red underneath the Chevrolet SS logo.

I went to your team thread, and saw your new #. Definitely a great start, but also definitely needs work. If you're going after Red Bull Racing's # set, go for more height and less width. Also, the bottom half of the 5 needs evened out. Other than that, clean it up, and it works.

JHartwig- I got nothing. Your chips were spot on right down to the pepper flakes. The white area around the headlight going back to the A post is oddly shaped depending on what angle you look at it from, but it works. Based on your deck-lid, I’m curious to see what you can do with a full Orbit scheme. GatoradeFan- Goodbye. Sincerely, The rest of the Exide series. I’m kidding, great job man. I think you are a dark horse championship contender at this point. There is nothing I can say about your base scheme that hasn’t already been said. My biggest critique is on your number. The bottom-half of the 8 has the little triangular skew, while the bottom-half of the 2 does not. I think it’d look a bit cleaner if you added the skew to the bottom of the 2, or eliminated the skew from the bottom of the 8. Other than that, fantastic job all around.
Leadfoot – You know what you need to work on. This was my favorite scheme from you though, so you’re on the right track.

I was happy with the finish I got since there were so many solid cars. Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on my from this past race?

I was happy with the finish I got since there were so many solid cars. Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on my from this past race? 714, I like the idea that you went with black specially in a night race, instead of red that is normally the main color for budweiser paint schemes. The somewhat of the fade of the beer with the bubbles effect going into the black is good. The logo of the budweiser's crown is a nice touch in the rear, and above the Budweiser logo itself. The idea of a curve look on the sides is nice, could've stretch it to the front of the car. Other than that, the car looks amazing, and has the song "Back in Black" from AC/DC look to it.
