Plus, mine's supposed to be more of a wood design, since you can get both lumber and hardwood flooring at Ace lol.

Now that scores are up, I'll take some feedback on my 3rd place finisher.

I'd like to hear some feedback about my car. It was an old concept car for last year that I never posted, and since I basically ran out of time I threw it together really quick, so I know there's room for improvement, I would just like to know what should be improved upon

Now that scores are up, I'll take some feedback on my 3rd place finisher. I am glad you asked. Out of all the cars this race yours was the one I liked the most but had parts that I felt I had some good feedback to give. I think the main thing you need to focus on are the details. The spark plug would stand out better with the use of gradients to give it dimension. Spud has made a really good spark plug brush. Thermite kicked my butt in a King of the booth round with a killer spark plug brush also, maybe they could show you what they did to give you a better idea of what I am talking about. The other part for me was the lightning... Here is a brush I made on Inside Line maybe it will help you. Lastly the number would benefit from a small black outline so that the green doesn't blend into the base scheme. Keep up the good work, I see a solid run for the Exide championship for the 00 team this year.

Now THAT is how you feedback! Thanks 714 for your insight, I will definitly utilize all that.
Kane- I don’t know really know what to tell you, that car was beautiful. For the category of “fitting the sponsor” you get 10/10. I will ask though, was the hexagon pattern supposed to look like kitchen/bathroom tiles, or was it just a design? The only critique I can find (and I have to dig pretty deep) is that it may be a tad too busy with all 3 designs. Your wood grain is great, and Im a sucker for good diamond plate but all 3 together, in my opinion, made for a busy day.
Dinger- First I'll start by saying that there are no Sheetz where I live so I had to Google it in order to score you equally. I think the green was too prominent and a bit distracting. Again, going off of Google image search, They seem to use green as a trim and accent. I much prefer the black with white and green trim design that flows behind the number, I would have copied that palette for the front design as well. The green number was a bit much for me as well. I think a white number with green trim would have flowed a lot better. Overall, I think you were scored justly. I think youre still a contender in the Exide Series along with Myself and Timmy, but be careful, those other guys are catching us quick. One bad week and any of us can go from first to sixth in a heartbeat.

Definatly was hoping for one place higher l, but I can understand why. I could use some feedback, too.
I swear, next race, I'll have a custom number. If only time was on my side.

Nightowl - I'm in the same boat as 714. I really enjoyed the overall theme of the car, and you did a good job creating a fairly intricate scheme for a simple sponsor. I agree with Will that your car could use a little more contrast. Placing a contrasting outline around your number, sponsors, and some of the lightning bolts could do wonders in terms of depth and make your car even better. So would a dark gradient behind the spark plug--that would give the illusion of a shadow. Overall, nice job. I hope to see that scheme return.
Dinger - Your scheme didn't turn out half bad. I think the green was just a little prominent (and maybe a contrasting scheme was your goal, IDK.) Switching the green for a black or a white could look a little sharper. I agree with nightowl that a white number would look fine as well. Also, just something to note: I'd like to see a picture of the hood of your cars in the future. I wasn't able to see that too well. Overall, a pretty good car that I felt was scored appropriately.
Kane - Your choice of primary for this car worked well; good job. ACE is a simple but sharp sponsor. My best suggestion would be to clean up the base scheme to match by making the wood grain a little more subtle (particularly on the hood, since decals contrast so much more there than on the sides). I agree with nightowl that the three different patterns you had going made the scheme a bit overwhelming. However, I liked the fact that the white hexagon decals were fairly subtle. Imitating that in the red areas would definitely improve your car.
Andrew - The main thing that brought you down on my scorecard was the sponsor and number made from in-game text. You'll find that no matter how great your base schemes are, those two factors will always bring you down. One thing I would work on on this particular scheme would be making all the outlines even. Your white outlines tend to range in thickness and intensity, so evening those out will make a huge difference. That, plus using a custom number and sponsor, would probably boost your scores each week by a good 3 or 4 positions.
Leadfoot - Kind of funny how you mentioned something above about the custom number. I didn't see that earlier, and was going to note it. Anyways, I understand this scheme was more a tribute than anything else, so I'll take that into consideration. Smoothing out the curves on the door of your car would help greatly, IMO. It was covered up by the number on the passenger side, but the driver's side was visible. It doesn't flow too well. Likewise, I'd like to see your outlines thickened a bit, both on the hood and sides. Overall, not a bad entry. I think once you make a custom number, your scores will improve a bit.
I'd like some C&C on my entry as well in case this car gets brought back for the Chase. Thanks.

Energy, Thanks for the your feedback. On the Sponsor text, I looked at the text that was close enough as possible to the real text on the levis logo. For my number, I was thinking about changing my number style, but I don't know if we can do that in the PBC. Anybody that knows if we can do about changing the style of the number, please PM me. When you said about the outlines of particular spots on my paint scheme, and looked at my paint scheme in my garage, I definitely need to improve on the outlines on future paint schemes.

i really think it is a good looking car. it's simple and i like simple schemes. the colors are cool and it would look really cool in real life. unfortunately it's hard to get a lot of points with simple schemes in a painting contest. you got an eye for the colors and what a car needs to look great so i'm sure we'll see some decent cars in the future.
