Thanks for the feedback everyone. Base schemes have always been my weakness. Looks like I need to go with a more simplified curvy base for when this schemes returns to the track!
Losing the horns on the hood and redoing the shape in front of the front wheel.

So I'll chime in here:
714- Honestly, I feel like your scheme was one of the best ones in the field. To me, it "fit" Budweiser-in fact any other week it would have been a sure-fire winner. But, it honestly looks like a 2-digit number may have worked better. Maybe extending the design out a little further might make it look less empty around your number. Plus, the Budweiser was spot on too, great work on that. Again, this car was really awesome. Not a scheme thing, but maybe a pure side shot would make the scheme analysis a bit easier. I had to take a second look to really admire the work put into it.
Leadfoot-To me your design was basically lackluster. It had a good try, just the way the spikes are angled (especially the second one) and the dull gray just makes the car look boring. Maybe use that grid/mesh thing on the car, and work on the length and angle of the spikes, it could be a good scheme. And the contingencies are a mess...that could use work. Make them smaller and more compact
Energy-You took my concept and made it cooler....not cool. -1/10 bad idea .... JK, your car actually seemed pretty nice. The tread mark on the scheme was a great touch, but I felt the triangles going against the design made it look like there was an anvil by the LR, which unless it's a Looney Toons paint scheme, ain't a great thing. Otherwise, I felt your car was pretty good, but Mr. Gradients, I feel as if maybe adding a gradient to a red (or making a dark red outline) could have made the design 'pop' a little more.
Nightowl-Honestly, maybe adding the red to the inside of the number takes you from #2 in Exide to a top 5 overall finish. This car was literally so perfectly executed, I felt that a small thing like that really was something that caught my eye. Also, why does the light green stop at the end of the side skirt? It could have flowed on to the fender easily. Just little things like that made that car a 9th-10th place car instead of a top 5 car.
Kane-For taking the backup car out (I could tell it was for a different weekend with the stars) on a short notice, it was a nice car! The stars were a little out of place, which honestly, with how close every car was, made a difference. I woulda liked to see the roof design end up on the decklid, woulda made it flow easier. Otherwise, like 714, if the stars weren't there and the competition wasn't so stiff, this car woulda been a front runner.
IJaRD-I couldn't tell if it was camera or actual design, but if it was actual design, that car is awesome. I can't wait to see more works. Honestly, maybe adding some of that light blue into the design on the sides and downsizing that flag on the bumper (it looks weird, I wouldn't make the USA flag that unproportional on the rear) and the ring would make it work better. Otherwise, you have awesome talent and can only get better. PS-since when was Ken Block an Canadian?
jhartwig-I loved this scheme. It fit the logo of Milwaukee Tools nicely actually. I guess that the gray on the decklid honestly looked out of proportion in some shots, but that could have been the sun. IDK, but either way looked very nice. Honestly, there's not much else that I can think of.
gatoradefan11- As soon as you showed me that car, I knew that immediately yours was one that was going to be hard to beat. It was. It looks awesome, maybe some more red in the interior of the car? If it looks ugly change it, but otherwise this car was a top car. I loved it. As far as improving it, maybe a light gray flame up on top of the design would look pretty dope. If, for scoring, we have team identity and part of that is contingency packs, I SENT A CONTINGENCY PACK TO YOU DUDE. FOR REALS.* *Meeting will occur later*
Spud-I know you won and everything (good job, by the way), but honestly, I kinda wasn't feeling the whole diamond grid thing with DHL. If it was supposed to be a collaboration with Craftsman, then I understand that. Just wondering about that. Otherwise that scheme was awesome.
Any suggestions on mine?

Well, thank you everyone for the kind words and what not. Dingerfan: Well my career name in Nascar 14 is I'm Not Ken Block. Because well, I'm Not Ken Block. The Canadian flag looking back on it got a little awkwardly big too. As far as your car goes, I loved it. Unique, modern and flows well. The colors blend together nicely. It could use a touch more red IMO and the side could be resized to showcase the sponsor more. Other than that I loved your car and I can't wait to see more artwork from you. ------------------------------------------ @hartwig so about that 14 on the front, I had my Kasey Kahne 14 font on there because that car was originally going to be totally different but I changed it around to race in PBC. Logo making does need work, for sure. Just need to find the time and patience. As far as your car goes, that logo and base are on point. The number blends in perfectly with it and has a great flow. What bugs me is the amount of black on the front and I just get an awkward feeling with the colors. I really don't know how to put it other than that. But your car for sure was superior to alot of others and I just hope I don't have to go up against you in the Snap-On Series any time soon. ------------------------------------------ nightowl the Asus logo is thick for sure. Going back and redoing it soon after I finish up my PSU car. Also, thanks for the advice for the Xbox, need all the help I can get. Now down to your car. It looks stunning. Colors blend in well and it all just creates a nice happy bubbly blend of car. That came out strange, regardless, it works nicely but as I believe it was Hartwig who said it could use more contrast like some reds, it you use a touch of red. Maybe as a border on the grey (?) Overall, loved it and maybe us Xbox painters could steal a win. ------------------------------------------ @kane your car had me like humina humina humina. White, Black and Red have always been a favorite color combination of mine and your car is both simple and challenging. Has a nice simple flow but when broken down, it's like a whole new layer of goodness. All I have to say critically is I feel like the black should either continue or there should be less of it at the top. ------------------------------------------ @714 my lord that logo. That thing is just spot on. Really impressed for sure. As far as your car base goes, I like the color combo but it could use less white for sure. Just pulled off wrong for my taste would be the way to put it. For me, if work with different red shades to fill in empty spaces for a simple white-yellow border base design, but just an idea because you're the master here. Can't wait to see more cars from you! ------------------------------------------ Energy I don't really think there is much wrong about your car I can say if anything. The whole car just comes of perfectly and I can't really say much else other than wow. ------------------------------------------ @spud: Well you did one helluva job for sure. Car looks great as well as the logo and number. Every small minor detail you have adds a whole new level to the car. The two-tone red lines, the fade to white as well as the gray lines that just barely poke out. All of this combined and boom, we have our winner. Great job. ------------------------------------------ @leadfoot your car was clean and simple but perhaps, too simple for PBC. No doubt competition is tough this year. Loved the car you had overall and if you can pull off a brush of an ESP (Kurt Hammet would be sick) that could potentially bump you up to a few wins. A custom number style thrown on top of that and you're a tital contender. ------------------------------------------ Best of luck to everyone competing this year and try to not beat up the rookie too bad going in to the next race.
